Rates, Packages & Policies - Resonance Columbus

  • At Resonance Columbus, we believe therapy should be both affirming and accessible.

    Our pricing reflects the value of grounded, relational care from licensed, experienced therapists - while keeping options open for clients with different financial needs.

    All sessions are provided by Licensed Independent Social Workers (LISW-S) specializing in LGBTQ+ and family-affirming therapy.

  • Self-Pay Rate: $125 per 50-minute session.

    This rate applies to all individual therapy sessions, whether in-person or virtual.

    Payment is due at the time of service via Headway, our secure client portal for scheduling, billing and telehealth.

    We accept credit cards, debit cards and HSA/FSA.

  • Our Session Savings Plans help clients save money and stay consistent with their care.
    Each plan includes a discount for prepayment and priority scheduling flexibility.

    Plan Details & Flexibility:

    Plans are fully prepaid at the time of purchase. Sessions must be used within six months of purchase. Unused sessions are non-refundable but may be transferred to another client (with your permission) or donated to our Community Access Fund. You can pause your plan with advance notice if life circumstances change.

    4-Session Saver Plan: $475 (5% Discount)

    8-Session Flex Plan: $900 (10% Discount)

    12-Session Value Plan: $1275 (15% Discount)

  • We know cost can be a barrier to affirming care. That’s why we reserve approximately 20% of our caseload each quarter for sliding-scale clients.

    Sliding-scale rates are determined collaboratively based on financial circumstances and adjusted to ensure fairness and sustainability for our practice.

    Priority is given to:

    LGBTQ+ individuals and families

    BIPOC clients

    Those facing systemic barriers to mental health care

    If cost is a concern, please mention it during your free 15-minute consultation. We’ll work with you to find a rate that makes therapy possible.

  • We accept most major insurance plans through Headway, which manages scheduling, billing, verification, and claims processing for you.

    Yes — we credential through Headway and accept most major plans.

    What will I owe?
    Your cost depends on your deductible, copay, and out-of-pocket maximum. We can verify your benefits before your first session.

    How does billing work?
    Insurance claims are filed automatically through Headway. You’ll receive an invoice for any copay or coinsurance amount.

    Can I use HSA/FSA?
    Yes. We accept HSA and FSA cards for all payments.

    What if you’re out-of-network?
    We can provide superbills for out-of-network reimbursement if your plan offers that benefit.

    All payments are processed securely via Headway.

Policies & Scheduling

  • Standard therapy sessions are 50-55 minutes.

  • We understand life happens. Please provide at least 24 hours’ notice to cancel or reschedule without charge.

    Late cancellations (less than 24 hours) or no-shows may be billed at the full session rate and are typically not covered by insurance.

  • We offer a free 15-minute phone or video consultation for new clients to discuss your needs, answer questions, and ensure a good fit.

  • Virtual sessions are available statewide for residents of Ohio. In-person sessions are available at our Columbus office.

  • Under the No Suprises Act, you have a right to receive a Good Faith Estimate of expected charges before receiving services. Contact us at any time to request one.

  • Resonance Columbus provides scheduled therapy sessions but does not offer crisis or emergency services.

    If you are in crisis please call 988 (Suicide and Crisis Lifeline), 911 or go to your nearest emergency room.

  • Resonance Columbus is committed to providing care that’s affirming, inclusive, and accessible.

    For clients who require ADA-accessible options we offer virtual sessions statewide for Ohio residents.

    Our systems are HIPPA-compliant and privacy protected.
