Eleni's Approach to Therapy
Eleni believes that therapy is a partnership. She works collaboratively with clients to identify what they want from therapy and develop goals that feel meaningful and achievable.
Her approach is warm, practical, and person-centered. Eleni integrates multiple therapeutic approaches based on each client's individual needs, drawing primarily from person-centered therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), and mindfulness-based practices.
She wants clients to leave sessions with greater understanding of themselves as well as tools and strategies they can use in their everyday lives. What to Expect in Therapy With Eleni
Eleni works to create a therapy space where clients feel safe and comfortable asking for what they need. Some sessions may focus on something happening right now, while others may involve exploring how past experiences, harmful beliefs, or long-standing patterns have shaped the way you see yourself and navigate relationships.
Clients can expect Eleni to be gentle, grounding, and compassionate, while also offering practical feedback and guidance when it is helpful. She brings a listening ear, thoughtful questions, encouragement, and—when appropriate—a little laughter to the therapy room.
Eleni believes in encouraging optimism and self-trust without minimizing the very real difficulties her clients are experiencing. She recognizes that therapy can sometimes feel heavy and challenging, while at other times it can feel light, freeing, and even joyful.
Above all, Eleni strives to build a therapeutic relationship that feels genuine, safe, and collaborative. She considers it a privilege to walk alongside clients through the ups and downs of life and is deeply invested in supporting their wellbeing.
Outside of Therapy
Outside of sessions, Eleni enjoys taking her dogs to the metro parks, attending concerts, watching women's sports, gardening, and spending time with friends and family.
